Please consider submitting a presentation proposal for the UNYOC 2023 Annual Meeting! Proposals are due Friday, September 15th.
Our meeting will occur in Clayton, New York, at the beautiful 1000 Island Harbor Hotel on October 25th, 26th, and 27th, 2023. This year’s theme is Building a 1000 Island Puzzle: Putting Multiple Pieces into Place.
Here are some suggested subthemes to inspire your presentation ideas:
1. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Building Bridges across Health Sciences Disciplines
2. Collection Development in the Digital Age: Balancing Print and Electronic Resources
3. Information Literacy in the Health Sciences: Empowering Users to Navigate the Maze of Information
4. Data Management and Research Support: Assisting Researchers in Putting the Pieces Together
5. Emerging Technologies in Health Sciences Libraries: Leveraging Tools to Enhance Access and Delivery of Information
6. Evidence Synthesis and Systematic Reviews: Facilitating the Puzzle of Research Synthesis
7. Librarian as Educator: Designing and Implementing Effective Instruction Programs
8. Marketing and Advocacy: Piecing Together Strategies to Showcase Library Value and Impact
However, we welcome presentations on any relevant topic that falls within the broader theme of librarianship. We are particularly interested in hearing about your experiences, research, and successful initiatives that have positively impacted your institutions and communities.
Presentations
Consider submitting a presentation proposal if you recently completed a research project or created a new program or service. Ongoing projects are welcome too! These can vary in length from 15-45 minutes.
Posters
Posters will be on display throughout the day Friday, October 27th. Authors can discuss their research and/or projects with attendees for approximately 60 minutes on Friday morning.
Lightning Talks
These 5-minute presentations are the perfect opportunity to share new ideas, projects, services, or research updates. Presenters are limited to 3 to 5 slides.
